Last P&D class

In the last class of R&P, we made a presentation. In my thought I probably made a good presentation.    I was preparing for the presentation and I was not nurvous at the beginning part of my presentation. I got panic when my teacher gave me an advice. I was not imagining the accident may happen during the presentation so, I got panic. I would like to spend more time preparing thinking many accidents and situation. I felt very difficult when I was explaining the video. Speaking and looking at the same time was very difficult. By looking other people's presentation I thought I should make my slide more clear. I put in red texts in a green background slide. This is a worst combination of color because it is difficult to read. I think I could make more progress on my presentation skills. If I have a chance to learn about our presentation skills, I want to have more passion to it.

10/30 R＆P class

We started to practice presentation this week. Became a group and start the presentation in the situation as the real presentation. This class was almost the end of the class, so we had to presentation. This week, our teacher gave us an advice, looking around everyone's presentation. Every person in my group made an interesting presentation. Dam, air plane, games and so on. The most interesting presentation was a presentation of diving. All video and picture he showed to us was very beautiful and I want to make a slide like his one. I will think about the dead space and the contrast of the word. Using tha advice that I was told, I want to make a good presentation next week.

October 23th class

Today our class started to preparing for the presentation. Our teacher showed us how the presentation should prepared. I was surprised when I heard that all of the title slide is not useful. But when the teacher started to explain the reason, I realized why the teacher said. All of the classmates deleted the first slide and started to use the white most simple slide.  The most useful thing that I learned this day was using the google images more deeply. I used to use google images but I did not know how to limit the photo's. This is very useful for me to find good photo. Preparing for presentation seemed to be very difficult but I would try my best.

The class on October 9th

At the beginning of the class, most of the computer couldn't access to the Internet so we couldn't start the class on time.  In today's class we reviewed how to use Zotero. It was very thankful for me because I didn't remember all of the functions that was introduced in the last class.  Zotero is very useful. I thought again. Teacher also talked about the difference between writing essay on Microsoft word and google docs. Microsoft word is suitable for writing final draft and google doc is nice to share with other people while writing the essay. It made sense for me.

2 October 2013 R&P class

It was the first R&P class after entering October. Today the lecture was about Zotero. A extreamely fantastic application.  It was my first time to be introduced this application. As soon as I listen to what can I do and how can it help my essay, I decided to download on my laptop. First, we have to make our own account. Just put in the gmail address and set a password. Be careful not to use a same password as other account for our security. It was not so hard until here but I got a little confused to put in numbers in the blank. I was wondering to open space between the numbers, and I decided not to open. It worked but I want to know how it goes if we open spaces. Zotero can remember the books, web pages and so on that we regarded it as an useful information. It is very easy!  Just put in the book's ISBN which points the book's information. From the web pages, like YouTube , we can find a mark that makes the Zotero to remember the pages. We only have to click few times and that will make an useful memo. Also Zotero help us making works cited and citation automatically. Zotero look at the list that we ordered to remember. It can change the form of the works cited easily so I thought it will help my essay.

Library orientation

This week, we had a library orientation instead of R&P class. we learned a new style, how to research and find a newspaper article and other useful information for our essay. We had a library orientation during the spring term but it was a different lecture from that. There were new service for us to find an article more faster and accurate. I was very happy to know we are able to find old newspaper articles.I do not like reading books so i wanted to use  more newspapers, so I want to use this app as possible as I can. Also this time we took a attendance by replying the message from the teacher. It was the first challenge for us to take our attendance in this special way. I thought it is very easy to say we are in the class, but on the other hand , it will be easier to lie and pretend as some of the students were there. If we put some easy question in the message, it might be a good way to prevent some of them lie.

September 18th

Today, I learned a fantastic tool in the class. The name of the tool is "awesome screenshot"!! After entering ICU, there were many times that I wanted to use the page that I researched in computer. I always had to open the page on iPhone and make a screenshot and send it to the gmail on the computer. It takes many time and feel boring. But this tool has solved this problem. Just open the page, download and install. We are already ready to make a screenshot. There are camera icon on the left top of the page. Click it and we can edit the page by using shapes, text and so on. Choose the range of the photo and click the mark, and the screenshot are made. It was very useful for me and I am very glad to know this tool. It will make my essay making more easily. Rab told us to think about connecting R&P class with other ELA classes. By using the tools I learn in R&P class will make the essay we write in the ELA class more good. As one of the tool, I also learned how to make and check a survey last week.  Today we did a feedback about it too. I earned many points to fix in my survey and I would like to change and do it again. I also felt that to make a good data, I need many people to answer my survey. So I thought posting the link to an SNS (ex. Facebook ,twitter etc) will solve this problem. We must put an space to type in there age and otherthings but I think it is the best way to collect many data. I realized many way to make my essay idea. I am looking forward to using these tools.

Our autumn term started and I was wondering what will are going to do in the R&P class. I have heard from my friends that our teacher is a very nice teacher. He started to speak how he is wonderful at the begging of the class. I thought by listening to his speaking.  His speaking was little bit fast for me and he gives us many information at once, so I was confused to understand and success the tasks that he said to do. Maybe, my listening is poor that i could not make my work smooth. I want to improve my listening skills to understand what my teacher said. In some of the tasks, i could not remember if we did it during the spring term.I felt I have to review or research some of the things that teacher said. I am little bit anxious whether I could do the things that is expected to do in this R&P autumn term class.
